Carolina Women’s Hockey
Passion. Performance. Pride.
Growing the Game
Carolina Women’s Hockey club was founded in 2022, playing its first season during the University of South Carolina 2023-2024 academic year. Our founders, Morgan Giard (Class of ‘25) and Hana Donnelly (Class of ‘24), worked extremely hard to get this organization up and running. Although our team is in a competitive league, we welcome all skill levels and experience. Our mission is to help grow women’s hockey in the south.
For the 2025-26 season, the team is a part of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Women's Division 2 and AAU College Hockey.
Conference
Founded in 2008, College Hockey South (CHS) is a 30-school, 46 team intercollegiate hockey conference that spans eight southeastern U.S. states. On February 11, 2022, College Hockey South rebranded from the South Eastern Collegiate Hockey Conference (SECHC). College Hockey South is a Men’s D2, D3 and Women’s club hockey conference within the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA).
As the CHS continues to expand and grow its fan base, teams are seeking out larger and more exciting venues; conference games and the championship playoffs are becoming sought-after events.
College Hockey South is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization.
